Theodore Dalrymple is a psychiatrist who worked for many years in the NHS in Birmingham. He wrote about it in a column called Second Opinion in The Spectator magazine. He talks here to Michael Duffy about what he thinks are some pernicious effects of the welfare state on the ABC's Counterpoint.
