Traumatised societies in the psychiatrist's chair

The Turkish psychiatrist, Vamik Volkan has spent the last 30 years studying societies traumatised by mass violence and wars. He tells Phil Adams on Late Night Live that, unlike individuals, groups have no possibility to mourn and so pass on their grievances to succeeding generations.
